The European Resuscitation Council has produced these first aid guidelines, which are based on the 2020 International Consensus Cardiopulmonary Science with Treatment Recommendations. topics include management of emergency medicine and trauma. For medical emergencies following content is covered: recovery position, optimal positioning for shock, bronchodilator administration asthma, recognition stroke, early aspirin chest pain, second dose adrenaline anaphylaxis, hypoglycaemia, oral rehydration solutions treating exertion-related dehydration, heat stroke by cooling, supplemental oxygen in acute presyncope. trauma related control life-threatening bleeding, open wounds, cervical spine motion restriction stabilisation, concussion, cooling thermal burns, dental avulsion, compression wrap closed extremity joint injuries, straightening an angulated fracture, eye injury from chemical exposure.
